Up-grade your Router Fence
Make your router fence into a T-Square.
The more costly router table manufacturers today are now starting to install T-Square fences on their tables. I have been using my shop-made T-Square fence for over 5 years with great results.
To make your fence into a T-Square, simply add a board at a 90 degrees to your fence. I have my on the left side, and use it for all routing. I do not remove it.
When moving your fence, you must always keep the T-Square rubbing against the router table at all times. This is necessary to make stop flutes when using stops.
For non-stop flutes and normal operations, the T-Square is not required, but highly recommended.

Example of Sizing a Board
In this case we are using hole #7. Sandwich the board between fence and jig, by sliding the fence towards you until the board is touching the fence and jig. Lock the fence in place. You should be able to slide the board side to side with little friction.
Remove the jig and slide your work across the bit as shown in picture below.
It's as simple as that!
Example of Cutting Flutes
With the jig removed, slide your board across the bit to make your flute. Flip your board end for end and repeat. Always use a push pad. It's as easy as 1-2-3.
Note:
In this picture, I am making stops flutes. Notice the shop-made stops on my fence. For longer stop flutes, I clamp a longer board to my fence that also has a T-slot for my stops.
NOTE:
The T-Square on the right side of this picture is not necessary, and is no longer used, It has been removed from my fence.
